Information about the worship opportunities available

Sunday Services

There is a service in English each Sunday at 10.40am. There is also a service in English at 6.30pm except on the first Sunday of the month, and occasionally when we are worshipping together with other Christians in their churches.

Holy Communion is celebrated at 10.40am on the second Sunday in the month and at 6.30pm on the fourth Sunday in the month. There is also a short Communion service at 8.00 am on the first Sunday of each month, except January and August. All those who love Jesus Christ and are seeking to follow him as their Lord and Saviour are welcome to receive Holy Communion, whether or not they have been confirmed.

"Preaching services" ie without Holy Communion, are led by either an ordained minister or an authorised lay "local preacher".

The 10.40 morning service on the first Sunday of each month is intended for 'all ages', with uniformed organisations parading 5 times a year.

Additional Methodist worship in Shona is held at 1.30pm. each Sunday.

A Methodist  service in Hindi/Urdu is held at 4.30 pm each Sunday, with Holy Communion on the second Sunday of each month.

There is a Prayer Request list in the vestibule, beside the door into the church; also a Visitors' Book, which we invite all visitors and newcomers to sign.

Children

Children are valued members of St. Andrew's church family. For information about Young Church click here. For children under 3 years old, there is a creche, led by known adults who have been cleared under 'Safeguarding Regulations'. Parents are also welcome to stay in the creche with their children as need arises. The church service can be heard through a loud speaker in the creche.

In addition, once every 3 months Teeny Worship provides ½ an hour of worship on a Saturday morning for under-5's and their families. Check the 'What's On' page for the date and time of the next one. Also click here for the Teeny Worship page. Details are also displayed on the noticeboard on the church lawn.
