Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals

Baptism

Baptism is the ritual by which a child or adult becomes a member of the Church. When an adult is baptised, it is called Believer's Baptism and involves the person making a public, life-long commitment to follow Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and as an active member of the Christian Church.

In Infant Baptism, the child's parents commit themselves, in a Sunday morning service, to bringing their child up as a follower of Jesus, in the life of the Church.

To speak with the Minister about baptism, phone the church office: 01753 534079.

Weddings

As Christians we believe that marriage is a gift of God, and in several conversations with the Minister, the couple are helped to prepare for their marriage together. To speak with the Minister about getting married, phone the church office: 01753 534079.

Funerals

To arrange for a funeral at St. Andrew's, or to be taken by the Minister at a crematorium or cemetery chapel, phone the church office: 01753 534079.

Occasionally, a special service is held at St. Andrew's to give thanks for the lives of those who have died. If you would like to be notified the next time there is such a service, please click here
